A sobering look at the way we’re living
Right from the outset, David Platt gets right to the point about showing us the divide. Many of us do not live as we ought to be living.
Challenged to look at our lives through a biblical perspective, Dr. Platt’s unique urgency and his heart to stir other Christians into action–biblical action–is obvious as you read through this book.
God has stirred in David Platt’s heart a passion and a desire for God’s Church to be powerfully identified and no longer blending in with the typical patterns of this world.
I’ve been extremely encouraged and powerfully challenged page by page of this book and look forward to not only sharing it with others, but prayerfully integrating principles and perspectives brought about from this book.
If you know your life doesn’t quite add up through the lens of the Gospel, and you realize there “has to be more” than this Americanized, socially acceptable, “christian” labeling Church we visit once a week on Sundays, this book is for you; Be warned though, content is contrary to what you may be comfortable hearing about, but then again–so should the Gospel.
I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
